I took a look through the Gmail Mobile Help and Google Groups but no solution found. We may need to wait for Google to make some changes to the setup of Gmail Mobile.

WebPro woes about Gmail? I had them too on my Zire 72. Here's a workable fix: create a personal AvantGo channel for Gmail Mobile
(click here: https://my.avantgo.com/account/edit_sub.....3A00&dflags=127).
You'll need a wireless connection to sign in initially, but then it will update when you HotSync, depending on what your link depth setting is. I use the channel with WiFi or my wireless modem to read email. You can get around this channel option by bookmarking http://m.gmail.com in AvantGo and just loading it live every time.
This option eliminates the issues with WebPro and gives you Gmail Mobile on any Palm OS device.

I can access Gmail without trouble using VersaMail on my TX. What are the advantages of accessing it through a web browser, besides being able to see linked conversations and replies?

To me the biggest advantage would be having all my email messages readily available. I cannot tell you how many times I have used googles mail search to find an email I received weeks ago. Its really quite useful and having that on my palm device is a great help. I'm sure their are other reasons, but that would be my biggest reason to access through my handheld's web browser.

I used it at least once a day with my Treo 650. Gmail is my primary email account; all other emails (including work email) gets forwarded to Gmail. I love the mail search feature - it certainly helps since I have almost 6,500 email messages in my account!

I really have nothing positive to contribute to this thread other than the fact that I use GMAIL, SBCGLOBAL YAHOO, and my work's web-mail portal for business email and they all work great with Versa-mail. I have my Gmail set to check every hour or so. My biggest gripe is that when you click a link in the email body it automatically switches to Blazer and you have to physically exit Blazer and re-enter Versa-mail in order to see the next message.
